Risk Management in Educational Settings: Current Updates to Threat Assessment & Expulsion Practices

The Ohio School Psychologists Association

"Putting Pieces Together For Ohio Students"

Recorded Webinar: Academic Anxiety Disorders

When children, adolescents, and adult learners are poor readers and test-takers and struggle with math, it reflects on their academic and occupational achievement. In addition, it raises red flags for teachers and employers. As such, these difficulties can inhibit an individual's lifelong goals. This course concerns these problems; Academic Anxiety Disorders, which involve Test, Math, and Reading Anxiety. This course has three objectives: First, what is the nature of Academic Anxiety Disorders?  Second, how do you identify/spot Academic Anxiety Disorders? Third, how can you alleviate/remediate them?

Learning Objectives:

  1. List the three types of Anxiety Disorders.
  2. Describe the characteristics of the three types of Anxiety Disorders.
  3. List remediations for the three types of Academic Anxiety Disorders.

Presenter:  John Zbornik, PhD

John Zbornik Ph.D. is a Psychologist/School Psychologist with over 30 years of practice. John is in private practice specializing in assessing Learning Disabilities, Autism, Attention Problems, Anxiety, Depression, and Academic Anxiety Disorders.
