5-Year LSP CE Tracking Registration for 2025-30

Please use the Table of Contents to navigate to information on continuing education tracking requirements for Licensed School Psychologists (LSPs). If you are looking for information on the 2-year Independent School Psychology License, please click HERE.

Single Document CE Tracking

This service is free to members and $25 for non-OSPA Members.  Click HERE to register for this service and pay via credit card if applicable.

This plan is designed for LSP licensees who can demonstrate CE compliance with an active NCSP credential or by working with a supervisor to sign-off on professional development activities. If you hold an active 2-year Independent School Psychologist License or were a permanent certificate holder, you do not need to enroll in CE tracking with OSPA; you may renew your license directly with State Board of Psychology.

If using supervisor approval, please use this supervisor compliance report and upload into your account:  Supervisor Compliance Report

Your compliance report must be completed and signed by a supervisor as well as yourself prior to upload.  Click HERE for detail on how to upload your document.

The term "supervisor" is intentionally vague to allow for approval by anyone to whom an LSP reports.  Examples of supervisors who can sign off on your CE document include but are not limited to:

  • Another School Psychologist who supervises you
  • Special Education Director
  • Principal
  • Superintendent
  • Individual who completes your employment evaluations

Details Specific to Full-Service CE Tracking

  • OSPA Approved Provider Courses: Be sure to sign the attendance sheet along with your license number at each course taken. All OSPA Approved Providers (including any courses presented by OSPA) send course attendance records directly to the OSPA office. OSPA will record your CE credits from the attendance sheet. Therefore, if you attended a course presented by an OSPA Approved Provider, you do not need to upload your certificate of completion to the portal.
  • APA and NASP Approved Courses: APA and NASP Approved Providers DO NOT send course and attendance information to the OSPA office for recording. OSPA CE registrants need to upload a copy of the certificate of completion stating that the course is APA or NASP approved.
  • All Other (Non-Approved) Courses: All other submissions must be accompanied by the Psychologist’s Request for Single Course Review form (see top of this page). Course/activity attendance certificate AND promotional materials must BOTH be attached and uploaded for review. Materials must show speaker credentials and learning objectives. To avoid delays in getting your transcripts up to date, please be certain to fully complete the forms and attach all necessary documentation. The Ohio psychology law and rules require that such coursework must be relevant to school psychology, at the graduate level, and taught by instructors with appropriate degrees and credentials to teach a graduate course.
  • Credit will be given for activities such as taking a graduate course (face to face hours), teaching a graduate course (face to face hours), writing a published article/chapter (5 to 10 CE) and writing a book (10 – 20 CE). Credit is only given once for teaching a course or conducting a workshop. Writings must be published in the quinquennium. Documentation of the activity must be included with the Single Course Review Form. For books, articles and chapters, use the date it was published or accepted for publishing.
  • Online Courses may be used to satisfy all 50 hours of continuing education required, provided that 4 hours of the 50 meet the requirements of ORC 4732.141 (professional conduct, ethics and the role of culture, ethnic identity, etc…) of continuing education required in Ohio.
  • Once you have reached the required number of hours, you will receive a letter and transcript via email confirming your completion. OSPA will also notify the Ohio State Board of Psychology of this achievement.

Please review the documents available at the below links.

OSPA Pre-Approved Providers for 2024-26

Interested in becoming an OSPA Pre-Approved Provider? Please contact the OSPA Office at mail@ospaonline.org.

The following providers have registered with OSPA for approval of their courses for OSPA registrants. Courses taken with these providers receive automatic CE credit and do not require that registrants submit their certificates of completion. The providers are required to submit attendance sheets of those who attended. Once that occurs the hours are added to registrants' records.
