NEW ORLEANS, Feb. 14, 2024 — Members of the Ohio School Psychologists Association were among those who presented at the Annual Conference & Convention of the National Association of School Psychologists in tribute to Dr. Alex Thomas.

Welcome everyone, and thank you for coming to honor the legacy of Dr. Alex Thomas, who sadly passed away on Aug. 7, 2023. I am going to start with an overview of some of Alex’s accomplishments and some personal reflections, and then I will pass it over to my colleagues Drs. Mark Swerdlik, Rob Kubick, and Tom Fagan, who helped organize this session, for their reflections. After that, we will invite any of you who feel comfortable doing so to share memories, reflections, or thoughts about Dr. Thomas, and we will also read some prepared comments from colleagues who could not be here. Finally, if there is some time we will conclude the event with some socializing and celebrating, as that is one of the things Alex enjoyed the most....
