OSPA President Emma Sacha, in collaboration with Ann Brennan, have formed a new internal workgroup to review the state’s special education forms.
The OSPA Special Education Forms Revision Workgroup will make possible recommendations for revisions to the special education forms, in anticipation of the Department of Education’s official stakeholder review next year.
Ms. Sacha appointed the members of this workgroup, assuring diversity of regional representation and school district typology. The panel began meeting Nov. 19, with meetings planned monthly through at least the end of March.
Ms. Brennan will continue to facilitate these meetings, along with Emma Sacha who will chair them and new Executive Director Rachel Chilton who will also assist throughout. Executive Board members are encouraged to provide Ms. Brennan with suggested form revisions or other concerns related to the forms. We will also seek feedback from the general membership.
