OSPA Consultant Ann Brennan has continued to work on the DD age range change with Sen. Andrew Brenner’s office and other stakeholders, including Andrew Huffman, the lobbyist for the SLP related associations.
Sen. Brenner in July introduced a stand-alone bill that the Legislative Service Commission drafted; the revised legislative language will include adding the DD age range category to the school aged disability categories, including adding the funding formula weight. The bill will be heard in the Senate Education Committee when the legislature returns, at that time Ann and Executive Director Rachel Chilton will work on organizing testimony.
