New NASP Delegate, DEI Podcast Episodes

I am honored for the opportunity to serve as Ohio’s Delegate to NASP. Below are a few updates from NASP since I began my term earlier this month.
The Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion podcast series released two new episodes last month. In Episode 3, graduate students from minoritized backgrounds discuss their unique experiences and challenges and how graduate programs can be more supportive and inclusive. In Episode 4, a professor and a practitioner discuss the work experiences of school psychologists from minoritized backgrounds in school, university, and research settings.
The National School Psychology Certification Board recently approved a new renewal requirement for Nationally Certified School Psychologists (NCSPs). This requirement took effect July 1, 2021, with monitoring and enforcement beginning with NCSP renewal submissions in July 2024. For complete details, view the NCSP FAQs webpage.
