Please see the flyer for SWOSPA's Fall Conference which will be held (no surprise!) virtually this year. On Friday October 9th, 2020, our very own OSPA President, Ashley Lockemer, will be presenting "Tips & Tools for Developing Quality Trauma-Informed FBAs & BIPs."
With this being a half-day virtual session, we are hopeful that many of you will be able to participate and we would love to have you!
Learning Objectives:
1) Learn about the Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) model and its utility in proactively identifying and addressing challenging behaviors in students.
2) Bolster your understanding of the impact of trauma on the brain and subsequent long-term effects of trauma across home and school settings.
3) Gain knowledge of how to identify a student's lagging skills underlying his/her challenging behaviors.
4) Enjoy the opportunity to practice utilizing the CPS framework and associated assessment tools to conduct and write trauma-informed FBAs and BIPs for one of your students.
Link to register is on the flyer. Registration is only $20 for members, $40 for nonmembers, and a very reasonable $10 for students/interns.
We look forward to "seeing" you there!
