OSPA School Psychologist
of the Year
|
In 1991 the Executive Board of OSPA voted to establish
an award which would recognize the school psychologist out in
the field who provides excellent service to kids and families
day in and day out. The honor was to named the Ohio School Psychologist
of the Year Award.
The purpose of the award is to honor a member of OSPA for current
excellence in service delivery. It is required, therefore, that
at least seventy-five percent of a candidate's time be spent providing
school psychological services to students, teachers, and parents,
typically in a school setting.
Nominations are made by the OSPA regional associations; each region
may submit one nomination. The selection committee is composed
of the officers of OSPA, the elected regional representatives
and the Award Committee members.
The recipient of the Ohio School Psychologist of the Year award
becomes Ohio's nominee for the National School Psychologist of
the Year award, presented by NASP at its annual conference in
the spring.
